Leif.designpark is happy to announce that in total 360 of Lib Chair and Lib Chair junior, a library chair and a children’s chair that we designed and produced by KIHARA, are adopted for Okinawa Prefectural Library that opened in the new location in December 2018.
The library was established with the aim to become an intellectual center, having a unique characteristics as a prefectural library with the interior motif of Okinawa’s nature and its tradtional culture.
Our chairs are arranged for placing around in the hall, the children’s book area and the local collection room.

2018年12月に移転オープンした沖縄県立図書館に、デザインを担当した図書館用の椅子・リブチェア と 図書館用の児童椅子・リブチェアジュニア（共にキハラ株式会社にて製造・販売）が合計360脚採用されました。
インテリアは沖縄が育む自然や文化をモチーフとし、県立図書館らしい個性を持った知の拠点作りを目指しており、3層の吹抜け空間を中心に、閲覧コーナーや児童コーナー、郷土資料室などにチェアが配置されています。
