Leif.designpark worked on designing outdoor company snow peak's first directly-managed apparel store in Omotesando.
The flagship shop is launched through pleasurable constructing process with their fashion designer, the store development team and the contractor.
Snow peak's concept "urban outdoor" and their apparel concept "Home⇄Tent" brought us the idea for building the design theme, and how the supportive elements to introduce their background as a camping gear manufacturer being expressed.
In the welcoming area, spacious tent frame-like wooden shed is set by construction method for wooden building, decorated with their clothes and products combined with green and plants to tell the story of the company. Not only the shed but also all other fixtures are specially-prepared for this space. "Made by hand" attitude can be felt everywhere in this flagship store.

スノーピーク初めてとなる、アパレル直営店を手掛けさせていただきました。
アパレルのデザイナー、店舗開発担当者、施工担当者とのお店を構築する過程がとても楽しかった案件です。
旗艦店となる店舗をつくるにあたって強く意識したことは、スノーピークのコンセプトである「urban outdoor」と、アパレルのコンセプト「Home⇄Tent」でした。また普通のアパレルショップではなく、キャンプギアのメーカーである裏付け感をどう表現するかも自身のテーマとして据えています。
通常抜け感が求められるフロントに、巨大な抜け感のあるテントフレームの様なヤグラを木造建築の手法で立ち上げ、小物／衣服の什器がそのままコンセプトを表現するよう設定しました。
またヤグラ以外の什器もすべて特注で誂え、内装のほとんどに手仕事が感じられる表情を持たせました。
植物のディスプレイも相まって、旗艦点らしいコンセプトを強く押し出したお店に仕上がったと思います。表参道／原宿からも近いので、ぜひ立ち寄って細部の手仕事感を探してみてください。
