We took charge of the design of a new shop Snow Peak, the design of its fixture and furniture and the direction of its planting on the 3rd floor of AMU PLAZA completed in Kumamoto Station Rotary in 2021.
This is a complex store; half of the ground is for a shop selling goods Snow Peak and the other half is for a restaurant Snow Peak Eat.
Overall concept is localizing it in the land of Kumamoto by using a famous castle Kumamoto Castle, the symbol of Kumamoto Prefecture as its material motif, and at the same time, focusing on uniting it with the existing Snow Peak brand.
Since there are a wide variety of commercial goods and it was a business category possible to set scenes with in-house products, we finished the whole store simple so that commercial goods would look good and beautiful, and we also tried to select materials carefully to reflect the will of the brand by adopting texture of paintwork, recycled materials and local materials of Kyushu.
As for Eat shop, we set a sub-kitchen like a scaffold along the shared passage to be used for drinks, cashier and take-out, and customers can also use Terrace on the 3rd floor adjacent to it.
We hope this will be the place to send out camp culture from the land of Kumamoto to all parts of Japan and the world.
