We were tasked with the space design, custom furnishing, and construction management for the grand renovation and reopening of "chipieee," a nail salon that has been in business in the Harajuku area since 2017.



We repurposed their memory-filled materials from 8 years ago, such as the arches, tiles, frames, and driftwood lights, transforming their nail salon from a stereotypical wooden, casual Harajuku area into a mature Boho resort filled with calming natural light.



By mixing in different materials while maintaining a cohesive one-tone theme, we achieved our goal of making this salon have the same refined feel as a luxury overseas resort. Installing indirect lighting in the arches and niches aids in creating a gentle, relaxing environment.
