We were in charge of the spatial design and art direction for this single-building rental accommodation, utilizing the architecture of Kushiro's renowned architect, Kiko Mozuna.
Throughout the building, artworks inspired by Kushiro’s landscapes and culture are thoughtfully arranged. These include earth-based art featuring natural cracks left untouched, mosaic art made from repurposed glass bottles from the owner’s long-established sake shop, and a dynamic art piece evoking Kushiro’s winter wetlands—all capturing the essence of the region.
The mist-themed guest room is equipped with a custom 3D-printed light fixture that creates an ethereal glow. Room doors feature hand-carved wooden bear knockers inspired by Kushiro Ainu culture, adding a playful yet cultural touch.
Enjoy a truly unique stay, as if spending the night in an art museum.

釧路が誇る建築家・毛綱毅曠氏の建築を活用し、一棟貸しの宿泊施設の空間デザイン・アートディレクションを担当しました。
館内には、釧路の風景や文化にインスピレーションを得たアート作品を随所に配置。
現地の土を使い、自然にできたひび割れをそのまま生かしたアート、オーナーが営む老舗酒屋にちなみ、使われなくなった空き瓶を再利用したモザイクアート、冬の湿原を思わせるダイナミックな一枚のアートピースなど、釧路の魅力を凝縮した作品が並びます。
また、霧をテーマにした客室には、幻想的な光を演出する3Dプリンター製の特注照明を設置。ルームドアには釧路アイヌの文化を感じさせる木彫りのクマのノッカーを施し、遊び心のあるアクセントを加えました。
